Guess it was left over from Christmas, but I'm at the mall, walking past the
Radio Shack, and I see the 8376 just sitting htere with a 40 dollar sticker on
it.  (http://guide.lugnet.com/set/8376)

I thinks to myself that getting all the parts 'n pieces for 40 bucks, which
includes the RC units but most especially the high speed motors, is a pretty
good deal for 40.  I know that folks probably got 'em cheaper, but I never seem
to catch a break on the deals o' LEGO.

Anyway, go ask for one and htey say the display model is the only one left.

Well, I mention that I'd take that one if a further discount is given due to no
box, no instructions, and no spare parts (no extra tires, etc)

So they did.

Wow!  YOu ask for something and they give it to you.  I was more than willing to
pay the 40 bones, but I asked for the discount and was shocked--SHOCKED when I
got it.

SO now I have yet one more RC thing.  Time to get another ride together for
Marie.
