Thanks guys--
Actually it came through Jake and Co. CJAD approached Lego directly and the
folks at the company though it would be neat to invite an enthusiast group.
Both CJAD and Lego thought it would be more interesting to have someone who's
interested in the product to be on the show than to have someone official. We
could bring up stuff like FLL, our own contests and talk about our own
experiences a bit, then do the logistics bits like where to buy one, what it has
etc.
Apparently CJAD often has various companies come on and talk about their wares.
The second guest after me was a guy from Digisette, a company that makes tape
casette shaped MP3 players. That one sounded like a 10 minute commercial for
their products, even if their player is really cool.
I hope I didn't come across as trying to sell Mindstorms, yet somehow in all of
us in our enthusiasm sometimes feel that way.
