Let me first say that I have not heard or read about ITER until now, so Calum,
you can flame me if you want.  I may deserve it.

But I *did* work at the Pickering nuclear generating plant one summer in the
mid-80s.  Ask me for details the next time I'm at a Lego dinner... suffice to
say based on my first hand experience, the way Hydro runs their act is a joke.
Everything from the ancient technology, to the old-boys union mentality was a
sad eye opener for the young naive lad that I was.  I say good riddance to ITER
-- another government boondoggle in the making.  Surely there are better ways to
spend billions of research dollars than on that?
