Yeah, Derek, you get right on that--I'll start putting the zeros on the cheque
now
I'm more leaning towards Larry as of this moment, but I'll sleep on i a few
nights
John, 8 wide.... hmmm... maybe I'll do a 6widel33terthan8wide.com
though, probably not.
Dave, I'm with DNS2Go, and I honestly forget what they charge me per year, but
it's around 14-20 dollars USish. And I think they have multiple domain names
for one account, though I haven't tried for I only have 1 web server running.
I could set up Apache to host another site, but, eh, configuratoins and
testing.. i'd rather go play LEGO :)
Thanks for the input all :)
Dave K
-who is still unsure if he wants to even spend the money--I mean after all,
sparky.i989.net isn't that bad when it comes down to it, and who knows when the
thrill of my own web site may wear off... or mayhaps i'll just take some spare
money and buy a better web server--I'm running on a P 300 with 64 meg of memory
right now, 'tis a wee bit slow at times--it's running everything--web server,
web cam streaming, telepresence RCX software, etc, and my little FTP site for my
friends.
Eh, my LEGO collection calls... :)

| So my domain forwarding service is offering top-level domain names now for very inexpensive pricing, as well as forwarding that top-level domain right to my server. So I could have www.something.com and people would be directed to my little corner (...) (21 years ago, 5-Feb-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
