Update - I dropped by the south Superstore on the way home last night.
There were no "TIE+Y+Snow"s, but there were thirteen "Sith&Pods"s.
The Sith&Pods were priced @ $23.73 each drawn in hand that the 25%
off was already applied... :-( I asked the two girls stocking the LEGO
shelf about the sale, etc. They confirmed that there wasn't going to
be 25% off the price listed and that there were no other LEGO sets in
"the back". The seemed shocked when I asked if I could take all the
Sith&Pods to take advantage of the $30 off $250+ purchase coupon,
and the girl at the till also looked at me a little funny. :-) The bottom
line is that I have a dozen Sith&Pods in the back of my Honda. That
should be enough for James and a second draft. If that's too many, I
can take some back, but fewer than eleven and the $30 off won't work.
I don't know everyone else's positions, but I was thinking that the
draft numbers might work along the lines of, for example: James buys
six and the other six of us each buy one - every second pick would be
James' Of course there are other numerical combinations, whatever
multiples of $22.50 each person would like. (It's $22.50 instead of
$23 because I'm planing to keep one Pod in my attempt to be Star Wars
complete. If we have a quantity lower than eleven, they're $25 each.)
Yes, it would clutter up the newsgroup if all our various followup
to this were here, ;-) so direct your responses to the mailing list...
