Hello all,

The variations of the legendary set 1592 still inspire me.
Astérix & Obélix is my favourite cartoon caracters and I wanted to
do some Lego MOC around this theme.
So of course, based on the 1592, it was easy to think about creating
another version of this set.
I was trying to stay as close as possible to the historical details
of this french era, and I kept the original french names for the different
caracters.
I hope you have fun looking at the pics linked here:

Please let me know what you think,

Jean-Marc

This is hilarious, and very accurate. All that's missing is a pig roasting over the fire. Nice work :) Mark (...) (22 years ago, 13-May-03, to lugnet.town)

Ave Jean-Marc! Great! Even if it was not a 1592-variation I would be enthusiastic about your creation since I am a big fan of Astérix myself. Particulary I'm amazed how you have built Obélix. Bye Jojo (22 years ago, 13-May-03, to lugnet.town)

Very good, Jean-Marc Détraz. I've a suggestion. One of the great jokes in the first album was that one of the shield bearers was much shorter than the other one, making it very hard for chief Abrabracourcix to keep balancing on his shield. Maybe you (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.town)
