Re: Long barrelled, bayonet equipped muskets

(...) knife (...) Longbows were replaced by firearms, not crossbows, and that was primarily out of disuse more than effectiveness. Bruce (24 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.pirates)

Re: Long barrelled, bayonet equipped muskets

(...) Yup that would explain it. Doh! (...) I'll certainly bring along a squad. I haven't decided whether to field them. I think I'm still better off with long bows.   Re: Long barrelled, bayonet equipped muskets

(...) It was in an email (that's why it's not here!). Here's the original plan: I've figured out a way to make a bayonet. (...) Any sign of these 2870s in the Sydney region? I thought Paradisa was well and truly dead... Maybe BigW has discovered a few unopened crates from 1997-98: see the pile of 6568s that have turned up for $18. --DaveL (24 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Tie.F and M.Falcon in Sydney

Spotted the above in two different stores. TRU Penrith had the Millenium Falcon for $169. Grace Bros Penrith had the UCS Tie Fighter for $179. GB's had also newly price ticketed the older Star Wars sets 25% below retail. So the prices aren't as bad (...) (24 years ago, 8-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.au)

  Re: New Pricing??

We can argue some here if you want :) Just wanted to say thanks to Larry for enduring my company.... And Richard and Dave too. (...) Just a quick note, if you're leaving now, you missed us :-). Richard, David and I met at W4 CQ at 5:45 on the dot! We had a great walkabout on the way to the LN. Speaking of beverages, just a reminder that (afaik) Larry, Richard and myself will be meeting at 5.45pm, Wharf 4, Circular Quay, today (Thursday) to head up to the Lord Nelson for a brew or two, and discuss all things Lego and off.topic.   Re: New Pricing??

(...) As you say, you make a judgement call about whether there's a case, eh? I think most people wouldn't have a major problem with the word brick being used in general conversation from time to time. On the other hand, I don't find it hard to make (...)
