(...) Do things that people pay for. That's not supposed to be a smart aleck answer... the most common way is to be compensated for exhibiting at a show but it can also include creating things on commission or (potentially) selling things. (21 years ago, 29-Oct-03, to lugnet.org)

(...) Like Larry said, we do some shows that pay us to be there, not all of the events we do pay money. We do try to keep a balance of about half and half. In the U.S. we have some major shows that move around the country, the biggest being GATS and (...) (21 years ago, 29-Oct-03, to lugnet.org)
