Greetings from the hinterland of computer support (aka Germany)-

Hello, from Springfield, Missouri (pronounced miz-ER-ee but full of
misery ;^)

Since people actually read these test messages, I've got a silly
question for somebody who's been in touch for the last three years:

It's not such a silly question.

once I've downloaded the messages and read them, how do I delete the
silly things?  I'm using Netscape 4.5 and a POP3 server, but I don't see
a delete button anywhere, my delete key just sits there and looks at me,
and I can copy to the trash file, but not move to it.

What am I doing wrong?

You're wrong for thinking that Netscape thinks you're smart enough to
have control over your own delete key.

Go to the menu: Edit|Preferences

Click the + next to: Advanced

Click Disk Space

You can probably figure it out from here. (Hint: Click the More
Options... button 8^)

If not, just post again with a specific question. (Post to this group
AND to my e-mail, please.)

By the way, HELLO!

Hi to you, too!
