I'm wondering if anyone knows any cure for the following teeth-gnashing
features that Win NT 4.0 has:

No, but I know that it can be cured :) My NT4sp4 runs at 1200x1000 ONO
both at work and home, and NT Explorer pops up as a tiny wee box, exactly
as specified. Perhaps try running one only copy, make it the right size,
close it. Open another copy. Resize it. Close it.... That's how I got it
to accept that I really didn't want the icon display.

Anyone know how to uninstall sound cards under NT? I foolishly dropping
in a SoundBlaster 16 until my SoundBlaster PCI arrived.

(...) I've always done it through Control Panel->Multimedia->Devices Tab Click "Add" and away you go. For SB16 you should have no problems assuming the card can get the IRQ it wants etc. -Mike (25 years ago, 15-Jun-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
