Is there anywhere I can go to find out how to set up my own server on my home computer, or anyone who can tell me how to do so? I do have broadband cable internet, so is this enough for me to set up my own server? And, what kind of software and hardware do I need to run my oww server?

I use a few things-- Apache web server (www.apache.org) DNStoGo (www.dnstogo.com (iirc)) and a Compaq p2300 with a 3.2 gig HD running Windows 2000 (basically so I can use the built-in FTP functionality of Win2K.)
