Still waiting for the Eugenics Wars to happen ;)

There's a set of two "Eugenics Wars" books out now, and while the Trek "EU"
isn't canon, it's an interesting take on those wars.  It takes *both*
established Trek Eugenices War history and real life history into account,
which is no easy feat.  :)

However, the odds that (Earthlike) life could evolve on a moon that
size seem slim to me.

Well, this *is* Fantasy/Sci-Fi, lol.  ;)

What is Endor orbiting around, I forget?

A gas giant.  It seems that, long ago, Endor formed around some gas giant
named "Endor", but the giant was destroyed by some catastrophic event.  The
moon eventually found itself in orbit around another gas giant named Tana,
which also came to be called Endor, and it was around this moon that life
developed (or at least that's what I can gleam from somewhat contradictory
sources.)  There are nine other moons orbiting Endor, and at least one other
is a forest moon.
