BBS systems are possibly making a modest comeback, among the die hards that
used to run them with lots of phone lines or call in to them a lot. With the
internet and newer emulation software it's possible to run one that uses a
telnet connection instead of an actual dialup.
Anyway, the sysop of this one:
spbbs.thebbs.org
contacted me. Seems he found an old copy of my door game Planet Busters and
is running it (along with dozens of other classic doors) on his system.
EQ or MOO it ain't, but it was fun to see it in action again. The current
game is in late stages, not many planets remain so late starters probably
won't do well.
If you view the credits you will be able to tell where Milton Train
Works(tm) came from... :-)
