Touchscreens *suck* for remote controls. The tactile feedback of good old
regular buttons is really important.

I personally am really happy with my X10 learning remote
<http://www.smarthome.com/4048.html>. Unfortunately, it only has memory for
a few dozen programmed keys, which is fine if you just want to remap a few
things, but since it doesn't have codes for DVD players, I had to spend most
of the ram teaching to control mine. Hopefully, they'll come out with a
knows-about-DVD version soon.
