Maybe this has been asked before. Maybe I'm the one who asked. I don't
remember, and I don't think so.
Anyway, I've got to do some file transfer and file management on a remote
server. This server is going to using SSH/SCP exclusively -- no FTP or
HTTP file transfers allowed.
I'm jonesing for a Windows-based, graphical client for SSH/SCP, similar to
the various FTP clients that are around and about. Anybody know of one
that will run on Windows?
I've looked at Mindterm, but to be perfectly honest, I don't know Java from
a coffee grinder, and I'm not looking forward to doing local builds on
something I'm totally not conversant with. Call me lazy, I'll take it as a
compliment.

Mindterm is nice, but it requires either getting a signed applet (anyone know how to do that? can you generate your own certificates?) or setting up a java virtual machine outside of the web browser, and that might be a pain. | (...) There are two good 'doze programs I've found to handle this. Take a look at PuTTY (which does do scp also) and TeraTerm with the SSH plugin. Hope this helps. (24 years ago, 8-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
