If they both have ethernet, you really should use that for the tranfer. You
can probably get a crossover network cable and just plug them directly to
each other, but some network cards don't like that, so you may need a cheap
hub. This will many many times faster than using the parallel port, and you
won't need any special software (just share the drive).
