I finally just gave up on trying to get XFree86 to work with my video card... finally just went out to Comp U.S.S.R. and bought a cheapo $69 card that was known to work with it (XFree86 3.3.5 at the time). (...) Surely! It's an ATI XPERT(tm) 98, the 8-MB PCI version. UPC sticker says "XPERT 98 NA PCI 8M 100-419031 / 7 27419 40420 4". Says it's "Designed for Windows 95/98" but worked *absolutely* flawlessly (100% autodetected) under RHL 6.1. The only (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
