Isn't it great how Windows has *improved* personal computing??

I can't help it...  what does this have to do with windows? ;)

The filesystem in Win32 is case-preserving, but not case-sensitive.  e.g. if
you open a file named "FiLeNaMe.txt" but the file was really saved as
"FILENAME.TXT", it'll still load.  Compare this to the Unix filesystem, where
"A" != "a".  Why they decided to implement such a brain-dead filename scheme
is beyond me.

Anyway, when you're testing your Website locally on Win32, links with broken
case will still load the URL.  Once you've uploaded the site to the Web server
(and assuming you're fortunate enough to *NOT* be on a Win32 server),
broken-case links will be broken.

I've done this a jillion times, myself, and is one of the reasons I'll be
putting Linux on my home machine once I get my DSL installed.

Oh, wait.  I just saw your winkie.  Oh, well.  :-P

Cheers,
- jsproat
