Sorry Jim,
I didn't see you followed this up to .fun. There was a recent article
in the NYTimes about converse and i think an NPR report in the past
three weeks. Most of my info came from those sources.
That's interesting new that they are still being made. All the shoes of
my youth that were made in US have now moved (all-stars and vans) to the
pacific rim. Luckily, my feet have paid the price of the flat almost no
support they give, and i've had to switch to new balance. at least some
of that brand is still US made.
