The Spectre published by DC comics is about a classic american comic book
character from the Golden Age of comics (although the current series is full
of twists on the old character).  I am not sure the precise manner or degree
to which american comics are or are not available in the "old world," but
the average books is somewhere in the $2-3 USD range in the U.S.

Yes... I got mine for $1.25! New Eng. Comics had a half-off sale. Sweet.
Plus mine is signed by the author. :-) I bet it's worth millions. ;-)
