I feel stupid replying to my own post so many times, but the 100,000th post
was on Friday, January 28, 2000, exactly 487 days after LUGNET was
officially started with the first post "------(Welcome to
lugnet.announce)------" by Todd Lehman.

Considering it has been 319 days since the 100,000th post, we have increased
our average posts per day from 205.34 a day (September 28, 1998 to January
28, 2000) to 626.37 posts a day, (an increase of 421.03 posts a day) so I
think that everyone should agree, that, whoever gets the 200,000th post,
LUGNET has certainly gotten much better.(not that it was ever bad)
