Ahh, working for family members. I'm also entertaining the idea of working
for my dad this summer to get some better money saved for college. He's a
foreman on a milling crew. If you don't know what a mill is, go to
www.wirtgenamerica.com/coldb2.html
That big thing is a mill. It has a 4' diameter x 8' long mandril(1). It
takes three people to run it; one on each side controlling slope and cut
height, and one guy on top running the conveyor and driving the machine. I've
went with him a couple weeks every summer, and can run the top and the sides,
so I might decide to do that this summer. And for $17/hr, working 75 hr
weeks, it would be worth it. Just think of all the legos I could buy then...;)
