I was wondering if someone could help me identify a fantasy novel I read a
couple years ago... All I really remember was that the main character's name
was Edward Half-hand, and he was leper.

The character to which you refer is actually Berek Halfhand, supposedly reincarnated as the main character (Covenant) who is indeed a (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
