Hi all,
I recently wrote a message in which I used the term "high-school drop-out" in
a derogatory fashion. I realize that this may (rightfully so) give
someone cause to consider my mental and social stability. This (1) has
bothered me ever since, and I would like to apologize for that to anyone who
was offended.
I fully understand that completion of school is no indication of someone's
education. Two of my biggest heroes -- Billy Joel and Dave Thomas (2)
-- dropped out of high school and did most of their really big stuff before
getting their high school diploma much later.
Again, if anyone was put off by this remark, please accept my apology.
Cheers,
- Sproat
(1) "this" = my remark, not my instability :-,
(2) the latter is of Wendy's fame, but the Canadian comedian Dave Thomas is a
hero of mine, too.
