I work for a large mail-order company and I think the people that manually key
those applications into the system are probably more concerned about making
their hourly production than how ridiculous the member names and address are.
Case in point: Family of member John Doe sends back unpaid invoice
with "deceased" written on it and copy of Death Certificate (automatic
cancellation of membership). It's mistaken for a change of name, and the
member is sent a new invoice in the name of "John Deceased."
