If you live in Los Angeles, New York City, or Miami and subscribe to DirecTv,
within the next few days you will soon be getting your local ABC, CBS, NBC,
FOX, and PBS affiliates (for $5.99 a month). Eventually, you will also be able
to get your local superstation (KTLA in Los Angeles, WAMI in Miami) as well.
By the end of the year, Denver, San Fransico, and Detroit will also recive
local channels. Looks like the cable companies really have to worry
(especially since the three launch markets are three of the four largest metro
areas in the US, and America's three largest TV markets).
