Wow, if they do it right, this could be the best film ever made in
Luxemburg!
I can remember noting in the past how closely 'Battlestar' resembles what
you'd get if you rolled 'The Dukes of Hazzard' in a light powder of 'Star
Wars' for several minutes - think about it:
blond guy = Starbuck = Bo = Luke (Skywalker)
dark-haired guy = Apollo = Luke (Duke) = Han
old guy = Adama = Uncle Jesse = Obi-wan
spunky girl = Athena? = Daisy = Leia
cute pet/robot = daggot = Flash = R2D2
bad guy = Baltor? = Boss Hogg = Vader
evil minions
with bad aim = Ceylons = Enos, Rosco = Stormtroopers
P. Coltrane
...and the parallels don't end there but I can't remember how Yoda compares
to Cooter or if BSG got cancelled because it lacked a kick-ass vehicle(tm)
as in: General Lee = Millenium Falcon = ???
:)
Scott - who doesn't watch TV at all anymore
