There's also evidence that the filling of the Mediterranean was witnessed as
well. An event that large most likely was felt in Sumer, probably by the
entire Fertile Crescent.

| (...) D'oh! Even as I posted my earlier message I was thinking about this. There are, of course, numerous submerged archaeological sites in the shallows and not-so-shallows of the Mediterranean.
