I guess you could define stagnation as you will, but there are many levels of learnign and debate within the Protestant and Catholic (to name but 2) parts of Christianity (...) | (...) Science is not in the business of proving anything. Proof is not a stage in the scientific life cycle. Scientists don't even believe in proof. Proof isn't what we're looking for.
