If a given group of people reach a democratic decision after am informed,
educated and objective debate - who am I to argue against they are • "wrong"?
I may disagree, but I can only respect their opinion. This issue aside, at
times eventualities may be reached which suit the needs of the majority - • at
the expense of a minority. In that case, questions must be asked, and the
minority must be protected.

Having read what I just wrote in this forum regarding education and child
rearing are you still so selfless to say, "Who am I to argue against they
are *wrong*?"
I know that half of the people are below average and that I am well above
average no matter how you measure, and therefore the popular wisdom can not
possibly surpass my own wisdom.
I am sorry that you think you are so lowly (2), but I don't disagree.  I
am sorry you have no choice (1) about respecting the popular wisdom, for I
am fortunate to have a choice, and I need not respect their opinion or
yours.(3)

And what is this hogwash about protecting the minority???  We are ruled
by a minority (no matter what country you are from) and those people ruling
already have more than adequate protection.

1 -  About choices, sometimes I have no choice but to laugh at the popular
wisdom (so I know what its like to be like you Scott, and be unable to
choose... in a way).
2 -  AFAIAC, you are welcome (and encouraged) to overcome that.
3 -  What is it with you?  It is acceptable to repeatedly disrespect one man
and his opinions simply because of his opinions, but it is not acceptable to
disrespect the opinion of a faceless, nameless, and spineless mob?!  The
simple and obvious hilarity in your post is that you are lying - when the
mob makes a choice that you disagree with, you don't respect it... you curse
it, you're just like the rest of us, but scared to admit it, as if it were
evil to be human, to disagree or have self-interest.
