Well, let's see.... if you want to apply the same logic, you need to choose a
comparable crime. So it couldn't be one that either of us would consider a
mere inconvenience, could it? (Or am I wrong to think you would insinuate that
I might consider abortion such a trivial matter?) How about the crime of rape,
which, while not entirely the same type of violation (a fetus does not
intentionally violate a woman, a rapist does not necessarily have to be
destroyed to be stopped, etc.), is comparable in that it is a violation of
someone's body. Then it isn't quite such a stretch, is it? Especially if the
only way to stop the rapist would be to kill him (by the nature of the crime
I'm assuming it is a male). I imagine the thought of killing someone who
was raping you or someone close to you would cross your mind. (I believe they
call that self-defense.) So no, I wouldn't fault you for applying that logic.
(If I were you, though, I think I'd tone down the melodramatics a little! ;-) )
