Reason did a long write up or 7 on this topic and the reasons seem to be • quite
complex. Some factors (none of which I claim are complete explanations)

Who is Reason?

The Reason Foundation, publishers of Reason mag, great little libertarian rag,
slogan "Free Minds and Free Markets!". I don't think I've ever mentioned it
before... www.reason.org (ok, well, not today I haven't yet mentioned it)
