Oh my goodness. Selçuk I am so sorry to hear about your experience. My heart
goes out to you and your country man. I remember this event. I grew up in
California, earthquakes were somewhat common, though it is nothing compared to
what you went through. ::heartfelt::

Do me a favor also, I guess just understand and allow Ondrew to use a saying
common to Americans regarding this National Tradedy.

I grew up in a Buddhist House hold, so I don't use that saying either.
However, it does not offend or concern me. Let's just let it go.

Thank you for your sentiments in the original thread, those 5 years ago.
::heartfelt::

Yes, let's we all came together and pray to the Lord that he bless America. And
let's don't care about if he bless any others or not.

Selçuk

Excuse me if I answer a troll but feel that I have to.

First of all, let's all come to together and pray to the Lord to have mercy on all
the victims of 9/11 and it's aftermath.

Makeing sarcastic remarks about any of the victims is just bad taste.

I most probably am a troll, so you are probably answering one, but I don't think
you owe any apologies to anyone about that..:-)

There is no need to flame on my side, since, appearently we are exactly thinking
the same about "god bless xxx". I just need to clear that, my sarcasm has
absolutely nothing to do with any of the victims (1). I just need to point out
that "we all came together" and "god bless america" is a bit exclusive.

Regards,

Selçuk

(1) http://www.lugnet.com/~1024/WeAllCameTogether you can see my name here, too.
And be sure that it is really from heart. 9/11 was just after the big quake that
we had here, and I still have way too many bad memories by my firsthand
experience about searching for bodies under collapsed buildings.

PLEASE LET THIS THREAD GO. WE ALL DESERVE A CLEAN SLATE TO GROW UPON.
Otherwise we are nothing.

Thank you,

Eric Sophie
9/11 Disaster Recovery by way of professional duty.
Voicestream wireless.

P.S. I remember working at the network operations center.

We had a conference call going 24hours a day with NYC officials and local rescue
services. There were people calling on their phones under the rubble.
When a call would come in, some people had low signal and the call would drop.

In that brief moment, we could look up that person's account as the call entered
the system, then we relayed the info to NYC officials.

I must say, out of all the memories I have, the most erie is hearing those calls
and working to help put a name to those desperate people.

Most I never knew what happened to them or if they ever got help. All I could do
is navigate the methods to determine who the calls were coming from. So they
would not be lost. As well as triangulate the location where the cell call was
recieved. So in a way, Selçuk, we share a similar experience. Though, you, had
much more of a reality than I did.

Let us both pause.

yours,

Eric Sophie
