I'm a big fan of sarcasm for whatever strange reason...
That said--see, there's this problem I've always had, and I'll dredge up two
examples...
In Star Trek:TMP, Kirk is talking to Decker about why Kirk was put in charge of
the mission (getting the 'cap'ns chair and all that')
He says, "My experience with dealing with the unknown... (few other things that
I forget).." and last he says "My familiarity with the ship"
At which point Decker jumps in and says "Well, the ship's been completely
refitted!" as if that one refutation of one point on Kirks list negates the
entire arguement.
This isn't math class, in which one wrong addition leads to a wrong answer--it's
a list--not a sequence of events.
So the other example is the OJ trial (not to bring that up again), but here's a
rather large *list* of why evidence points to OJ, and negating one or two points
does not negate the entire list.
So trivialize the turkey dinner. It was a trivial point in the grande list of
points as to why I believe Dubya should, indeed, be "run out on a rail".
If Richard were here, he'd have some witty comment. Alas, it is only I, and,
for myself, 99 points--I'd like to see 99 refutions. Heck--I'd like to see one
refutation of *any* point, but over the past 3 years, nada. Just more factless
rhetoric.
As we say on earth, "C'est la vie!"
