An excellent summation, Dave! Its pretty much where I stand as well.
Ill live my life as virtuously as I know how, but I wont rub blue mud in my
belly button and then delude myself that doing so somehow makes me better than
those that wont do so.
Why give us minds and then insist that we not use them? Why reward the sinner
who murdered thousands but who then sincerely repents his crimes more than the
virtuous one who never harmed anyone, helped many with his works and inventions
but wont believe?
The christian god (read the book of Job, I just did, again) is not worthy of my
adulation.
