Well it looks like those involved won’t be taking any holidays in Spain for a

The family of a Spanish television cameraman killed when a US tank opened fire
on the Palestine hotel in Baghdad during the Iraq war has asked a Madrid court
to extradite and bring war crimes charges against three US soldiers.
Cameraman Jose Couso, 37, of Spain’s Tele 5 channel, was killed with a Reuters
cameraman, Tara Prtsyuk, a 35-year-old Ukrainian, when an Americans Abrams tank
opened fire on the hotel. The family named three members of the US army’s 3rd
Infantry Division’s 4th Battalion 64th Armour Regiment which had been operating
in the area at the time.
They asked for the Spanish judge to issue an international arrest warrant for
the detention of a Sergeant Shawn Gibson, said to be in charge of the tank that
fired, of his immediate superior, Captain Philip Wolford, and of the unit’s
commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Philip de Camp.
