What is truly shameful here is that these people had to wait for 24 years to
escape this evil tyrant. Additionally shameful is the fact that this
liberation came not at the hands of the United Nations, or neighboring
Islamic nations. This was not a war simply to liberate a nation, but that is
a wonderful side effect of this conflict. I pray that the United Nations can
shake off their current irrelevancy and begin to fulfill the measure of its
creation by stopping crimes against humanity like this around the world.

| (...) Perhaps the UN could start by disciplining the country that supplied Saddam with his chemical weapons and which looked the other way while he used them in the 80's.
