Yeah, I go to CNN to read the propaganda and see what FOX's competition has
to say about things. I go to the BBC for something approximating the truth.
The real problem is how most americans just don't do ANY digging for the
truth. If it's not on the evening news on TELEVISION, most people will
never hear of it. It's not precisely that we lack a free press, but that
people simply do not really search for things or read in the first place.
I guess there's no point in discussing the literacy issue here. Even when
Americans know how to read they do not avail themselves of important
information.
