[I'm sorry about the odd choice of newsgroup, but I didn't know of any
other suited for off-topic questions like this.]
I've observed a person who always carry an ornamented cross inside the
palm. It has a chain, which is entangled in the fingers. My question
is if this custom is a symbol or trademark of a specific religion,
belief or sect.
