I didn't read all the way through. Does it say how it's going to handle
off shore SPAM? Most of the SPAM I receive fits into one of three
categories:
- e-mail from services I've signed up for (i.e. not really SPAM)
- off shore
- notifications from servers that they are rejecting the e-mail I didn't
send which has a virus
The other bit the article is talking about is scary. Legalizing DOS
attacks is NOT they way to improve the web (and I do consider trying to
reduce copyright violation something which is worth doing to improve the
web). It will waste bandwidth and likely harm innocent people (I put up
a few copyrighted songs, even if by accident, my ISP is trashed, wow
cool! and if it has limited means of appeal, what do they do when they
kick me off? Does the DOS attack stop? Probably not.).
