Now pardon me,
but I live in Kentucky USA, and find that the issue of the Pledge of
Allegiance being Religeos is a big issue that is important. I agree with the
courts decision. The use of that pledge, as it is written today was used in
my highschool, to cause the people who where NOT christian like myself to
leave the room, leaving us open to taunts and "noncomformist" markings. It
marked you as socially unacceptable if you made a stand. now they have no
choice, NO more pledge in schools. As the article says I do not agree with
further changes such as songs and money, simply because they are not as
forced as children in Public schools saying the pledge of allegiance. This
is not anything other then my opinion, but I feel very strongly on this
matter. I am sorry Jeremy but it is not just foreign nationals who feel as I
do about the Pledge of Allegiance, it is a whole group of non-monotheistic,
and nonchristian religeons.
Thank you
Mark (Elf) Taylor
