Well that certainly explains why the US and Britain diverged so much
after WW II, with the US stagnating and Britain going on to happy shiny
people ville. Or why the PRC with so many many people and so much land

Let us not forget, Britain used to be at one time the premier capitalist
economy in the world, bar none. Not any more. Emerging isn't a bad
description for most of Europe at this point, I'd venture to say.
Oh, left wing politics do work all right. It just depends on the job you
want done.
Ditto for right wing, different bad job but still bad.
Both wings are broken.
