3kb files on a high traffic board such as that, probably get 100's of hits
(each) EASILY. Whereas the 100k files are probably seen 5 times in the same
timespan. Not to mention those 100k files eventually don't get seen ever
again once everyone has seen them (who wishes to look). The avatars on the
other hand, get seen by the same people over and over.
Ok, count those #s up. :D
