Some people think that parents discipline children out of spite coupled with
ignorance. The idea is that since they were hurt by their parents, they can't
bear to inspect the notion that it wasn't actually beneficial for them...that
instead it was a tragic mistake that their parents made. So they continue down
the same inheirited superficial ineffective and wrong relational path.
