Well, I agree with the suggestion, but not for the same reason. Generally, I
have no problem with threads changing subject, as long as the subject line
points this out. However, as I use the web interface to post to Lugnet (most of
the time), it gets painful following a thread after it hits 100 posts, as the
"dot display" is removed for performance reasons (yes I know I can click on
"dots" to see it, but I don't get the nice little star pointing to the current
message).

| my post here was emotional I suppose. The thread "is this sexism?" has changed topic several times now and did not seem to be a bother, at least not for me. Then a personal argument sprung up where someone became irritated that the topic had changed (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
