I don't know that "busy" needs to be in quotes, or if it's even a matter of
laziness. If I (and countless others) spend 50+ each week working and/or
commuting to work, in addition to other immediate responsibilities, I think we
can be forgiven for failing to study every media source that comes along. For
that matter, there's no guarantee whatsoever that a book is any less tainted
than television or newspapers. I think the best advice is to maintain a habit
of critical thinking about the media to which we are exposed, as well as a
constant and healthy sense of skepticism.
