Also new: MegaBloks Mustang —Kevin Johnston
Also seen at TRU: a MegaBloks Mustang P-51 (WWII-era fighter plane). From a quick perusal of the box, it looks like one of the best Pro Builder sets yet. 900-some pieces. I didn't check the price; I'd guess around $30. It's depressing that I've said (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Also new: MegaBloks Mustang —Dave Schuler
(...) At my TRU it's $39.99, and it's 985 pieces including a good number of grey 2x4 bricks, grey 1x8 bricks, 50 grey 2x2 tiles, about 25 grey 2x1 inverse slopes, and a bunch of chrome elements. I bought one last night and I'm almost completely (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Any possiblity of scanning the box or instructions for a picture? I am really currious about this one. -Mike Petrucelli (23 years ago, 19-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Also new: MegaBloks Mustang —Dave Schuler
(...) Here you go: (URL) scan isn't exactly razor-sharp, but it's still a cool model. My only objection is that there are two cover panels flanking the engine built mostly of 1xN bricks, but the panels aren't very secure when in place. I fixed it (...)      (...) in (...) I second that, thanks for the scan. That looks great. As a side note, looking at the piece count compared to other Pro-builder sets, it seems TRU upped the suggested retail price by $10 -Mike Petrucelli (23 years ago, 19-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Also new: MegaBloks Mustang —Steve Bliss
(...) Which may be the ultimate sign that MegaBloks is encroaching in LEGO's market position - the value of MegaBloks is going up. Steve (23 years ago, 19-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Also new: MegaBloks Mustang —Dave Schuler
(...) Here's another cool-looking model. (URL) Still no word on the mythical Whitehouse model, and I haven't seen the Construction Vehicles set (or whatever it was called) since the one I saw auctioned on eBay. If I have one lingering complaint (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Also new: MegaBloks Mustang —Dave Schuler
(...) I own a few of that kit--for the price, it's superior to any aircraft model LEGO has produced recently, although parts of the design are a little weak. Here are a few sightings of new kits, apparently marketed as "Mega Modelz" instead of, or (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Also new: MegaBloks Mustang —Paul Maxwell
Dave, I saw these at Wal-Mart in Stow Ohio Wednesday for $9.97 each. They had a whole pallet of these on display. I would have bought one if I had had the cash... Maybe next week. Paul (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

        Mega Modelz —Dave Schuler
(...) what can be done with basic bricks (remember when LEGO used those?). I don't have a piece breakdown yet, but with ~545 parts for $9.97 I'm not complaining. I'll post a more elaborate review soon. There's a new Harley kit I haven't seen yet, (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
