Wow! I am of course a big fan of clone-based MOCs, but my own designs tend
to be Mega Bloks-only. Your creations do a great job of mingling various
brands, and MOCs with BTR elements are extremely rare. Part of that is
because BTR never quite caught on, but part is due to the sort of
use-specific nature of BTR elements, since at first glance they dont lend
themselves to custom creations.
|
I do not mean to be negative about anyone else, but I think NOT seeing the
possibilities with BTR as a lack of imagination. The first moment I saw those
sets and parts, my mouth dropped open as I was struck with a torrent of
possibilities.

The APC is reminiscent of the official BTR Megatron model, with good and
clever modifications. The fact that you were able to use a BTR car-body in
this model is
great!
|
Yah, thanks. From 3 1/2 inch scale to 1 inch scale with the car body. I think
the APC looks like Megatron because that is where almost all of its parts come
from. I grabbed 6 of the megatron sets on deep discount so those parts will show
up several times over.

Overall a fine use of LEGO, BTR, and Oxford. Are there any other clone
brands in the mix?

Lego, BTR, Oxford --> check this
link for Megablocks and
Lego.

In my other post I asked if you had more pics to show us, but its clear that
you do! Thanks again for sharing.
Dave!

We cloners have to stick together.

P.S. I am throwing away my learn a word a day calendar
P.P.S. That calendar said that eschewing was a good thing when concerned with
clone bricks --> makes sense now, I bought it from Shop at Home. :)
