Okay, here we go...

Do Ritvik bricks really fall apart in the sun (that's an exxageration :-)

How suitable are they for a project like, for example, building a 5-foot-high
replica of the US Capitol Building?

I ask because Ritvik bricks can apparently be bulk-ordered:

and it seems to me that they would be very useful for building simple things
like the mass of this hillside:

or this one:

(The people who build these things often complain about the cost of all the
bricks.) Ignoring the fact that using all-LEGO is somehow more satisfying, is
there any other reason I can't build a huge hillside out of Ritvik?

(...) No. There's also no reason you can't build it out of Tente, wooden blocks, uncooked (or cooked!) macaroni, or dryer lint. But none of those things are Lego, and neither is Ritvik, even if Ritvik is more easily compatable with Lego. Some people (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
