They are actually not that hard to find. Some year 2000 small technic sets have them. 8255 and 8251 are the ones I remembered. There is also another option. The model team tires are almost identical in size (diameter and thickness) with the medium (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

Hi all, Thought I'd try some of the old trucks of the modelteam series (that were all released and discontinued in my dark ages....) just from Brickshelf instructions. Problem are the wheels. I now have a new aim in life: to collect as many model team sets as I can. I have recently bought a 5563 for half price, and it is amazing. Not only are the pieces brilliant for town building, but the level of detail on the actual model is (...) (24 years ago, 8-Oct-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

I bought the 'Ultimate Lego Book' yesterday. and i got an idea. In it, thier is a massive super tanker, modeled fo the 4 inch people they make for scenes. You may find David Karrs tanker inspiring: (URL) for the bricks, I ususally use red bricks for the hull instead of black. The reason why is because red bricks seem to be in more abundance then black. (24 years ago, 27-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.modelteam)

I imagine they change what sets are offered in the catalog depending on the time of year and what new sets/themes are being showcased that quarter. Just because a set disappears from (...)
